Istanbul A character design for Istanbul. The character was then made into a pattern. This was also an installation at the Istanbul Bienale (workshop: lost in translation)
Movement of the sun (sun clock).
This is a lamp that follows the light of the sun. The light bulb (electricity) is programmed to follow the sun. When the sun rises in the morning the lamp starts to omit light, intensifying every second, shining brightest in middle of the day. After this the light begins to fade with the sun, appearing dimmest at sunset. You can`t see the light changing beacuse it omnit light in a very slow movement, but it changes all the time as the sun moves in the sky. A digital sun. Read more about the different versions below. OPERA (birds)
This is a computer program that plays bird sound. The bird sound follows some of the laws of nature and is also affected by the position of the sun. The composition is partly random. The singing comes from birds that are site specific and from birds that have been selected on esthetical grounds. This is an opera that will go on 24 hours a day and could be heard at Vasagatan in central Gothenburg 7/5-22/5 -05. It try to show the nature at the specific place were the art piece is shown. The piece is also shown at a computer inside the gallery and online.
