The title refers to the Samuel Becket play Waiting For Godot. Of central importance in the play are the repeated elements in the two acts and the waiting for Godot, who never shows up. A play where practically nothing happens and where the hopeless and futile waiting is a key element in the plot.

“Waiting for” can be described as a theatrical play with a number of set instructions constantly repeated, but each time in a different order. The piece consists of a programmed and interactive animation sequence shown online and resembling a computer game, but where the concept has been expanded and the actual game element has been left out. Rather it can be seen as a play that you control with the computer keyboard. There is no beginning and no end and the variables change, making every act different from the last.

The game was shown on the Internet and at galleri 54 in Gothenburg. It was supported by the swedish art grants committee. (konstnärsnämnden).

I was invited to take part of a show called ”You turn me on and on” at Embassy Gallery in Edingburgh Scotland. The show was about endlessly. I wrote some code to create endless picture of stars until your computer will be full and crash. You can copy the code and create your own art piece.

The web program downloads search words that people have been using when searching the Internet for topics related to war. First the words are collected and then a web-program will search for pictures tagged with these words. The words are downloaded to a database and then the program randomly picks three words and searches for pictures that finally become a pattern for a box to print and fold, a box that you may find in i.e. supermarkets. The box updates every 30 seconds and searching for new pictures and words, every box becomes unique…You can see a recording above or see the program and read more here

Here is a website broadcasting sounds with the intention of influencing the contents of your dreams. The project is based on sleep- and dream-research, indicating that external stimuli like sound, smell and touch can be experienced also during sleep. Our dreams are shaped by an inner world, as well as by experiences that we have had during the day and the external stimuli we are exposed to during sleep. While dreaming we get in contact with sub- and pre-conscious layers of our soul. Using sound you can influence your dreams.

This is a computer program that plays bird sound. The bird sound follows some of the laws of nature and is also affected by the position of the sun. The composition is partly random. The singing comes from birds that are site specific and from birds that have been selected on esthetical grounds. This is an opera that will go on 24 hours a day and could be heard at Vasagatan in central Gothenburg 7/5-22/5 -05. It try to show the nature at the specific place were the art piece is shown. The piece is also shown at a computer inside the gallery and online

A yellow field moving at a computer screen. It reflects the suns movements in the sky and the movement can hardly be seen, but it s moving all the time. When the sun rises a yellow field starts to move, first the field can hardly be seen but the more the sun moves the more you can see of the yellow field. At the middle of the day the whole field can be seen and the whole screen are yellow. It could be seen as a slowly moving painting.
When the sun goes down the yellow field disappear. You can follow the sun live when it’s moving over your area/city. A digital Sun.
